Icon Of Impact: City Winery Helps Rebuild Puerto Rico

The founder of City Winery hates the word “retreat” when he’s talking about his annual companywide leadership trip.

“Retreat to me is the wrong word, we're going forward not backward. It's exactly the opposite of what we're trying to do.”

He prefers the word basecamp – and this year Michael Dorf, founder and CEO of the fast-growing City Winery, took his entire national leadership team on a basecamp trip to Puerto Rico. They helped rebuild Puerto Rican farms and put on a live concert that brought people to tears.
